The 'Flitwick at the Crossroads' residents action group (FATCRAG) exists to provide a way to represent the collective views of Flitwick residents on various proposals for development in or near Flitwick.

Dear FATCRAG Supporter
At the recent AGM members present almost unanimously supported a proposal that FATCRAG should become a subscription organisation with an annual sub of £10 per household. This is intended to put us on a more secure footing and allow us to build up resources so that our activities, hitherto supported purely by donations, can be placed on a more substantial basis, and so as to be prepared for the next wave of major consultations.
Your Executive Committee has proposed that we should institute this move when judged appropriate and I hope that this meets with your approval. Meanwhile we shall continue to respond to local issues such as the Local Area Transport Plan and developments such as Covanta.
A more pressing issue is the need for a new Chairman and Secretary as Fiona and I are hoping to relocate away from Flitwick in the near future. David Nixon has been proposed, and has kindly agreed to become our new Chairman as from 1 January 2012 but we need a new Secretary urgently in order that Fiona can hand over smoothly. Do please let me know if you, or someone you know who supports our aims, would be willing to do this as we feel it important that the influence we have built up should continue to be exercised in the interests of Flitwick. We have a complete record of our activities and it will be a case of building on the groundwork that has been laid. Do let me have appropriate names.
