Correction to Times and Citizen article (17 January)
There was an article about Monday's meeting in this week's Times and Citizen. One of the quotes was misattributed and the following letter was sent to the editor to ask for a correction.
Sir,
The report of the meeting of the Flitwick at the Crossroads
Residents Action Group (Times and Citizen News 17 January) to discuss
proposals for the development of
Flitwick incorrectly attributes to Councillor Stephen Male the call for
planners to stop living in the past and to put forward a modern town
centre design. This statement was made by the Chairman of FATCRAG,
Arthur Bourne, at the end of his presentation to the Group. We are
concerned at this misrepresentation and demand that you formally put
the record straight.
FATCRAG is an independent organisation whch has been set up to debate the views of all residents of Flitwick on developments affecting the town and to represent these to elected representativies and planners. We welcome participation and hope that any interested resident will join us, and for further information please contact Fiona Steele at the address below. The Minutes of the FATCRAG meeting referred to above are also available from her and are posted on the FATCRAG website www.flitwick-at-the-crossroads.org.uk.
